About Eleanor

Eleanor Tagart has been teaching piano for nearly thirty years in New Zealand and the UK.  She studied teaching and performance both full time and on intensive short courses in New Zealand, the USA and the UK and is an ESA trained teacher (level 2)

 

After studying at universities in both Aukland and Wellington, New Zealand, Eleanor graduated with a BMus (performance) in 2002. Since then she has worked variously as a soloist, accompanist, repetiteur, and teacher.

Eleanor has taught at the first-class Suzuki summer camp in Wellington, accompanied workshops in the UK, taught for the Junior Guildhall string training programme, and currently works out of her private studio in Bromley. 

 

In 2018 Eleanor joined the examiner panel for ABRSM, and examines both online performance grades as well as in-person face to face grades.  Her work with ABRSM has taken her to many parts of the UK, Ireland, Singapore and India.
